This is an advanced composition course that will focus on fine tuning writing skills acquired during prerequisite courses. Aspects of composition covered will include academic, creative, and letter writing.

The Writing Task Buffet

For the rest of the semester, you will be able to choose which type of writing assignments to complete. In class we will work on writing mechanics, learn more about particular types of writing, and have writing lab/conferencing time. The minimum requirement between now and the end of the semester 2 completed pieces of writing. Possible types of writings include:

Part 1 (at least one)

Part 2 (at least one)
Sentence Corrections from May 19 Class

How Do I Fix This?  (from May 25)

May 26 - TO DO in class

  • Revise your Part#1 Writing
    Add phrases and sentences to How Do I Fix This?
  • Begin working on your Part#2 Writing(s)
    Ask Jeff questions

ASSIGNMENT  Due Sunday May 28 3pm
Finish revising  your Part#1 Writing(s)

ASSIGNMENT  Due Thursday, June 1 10:59am
Write the first drafts of your Part#2 writing(s)  in your Google folder.
Bring a printout to class on Thursday

ASSIGNMENT  Due Sunday, May 21 3pm
Revise your 'Part 1' writing.
Start planning and/or writing your 'Part 2' writing.

ASSIGNMENT  Due Thursday, May 18 10:59am
Write the first draft of your personal profile and/ or narrative essay in your Google folder.
Bring a printout to class on Thursday.
